It is incredibly brave of you to share so much, so openly and so honestly. And that is precisely why this book works. I'm going to read it again!
You know, I've been there. Really there.
I've been through some tough times—deep sadness, overwhelm, unexpected life changes, and solo parenting—and I always searched for a lasting sense of peace. This book is more than just a story; it's like a conversation, a way of saying, ‘I understand. I've been there.’ Inside, you'll find the wisdom I gained from those challenges, the simple tools that helped me, and gentle reminders that the quiet center you're looking for is already within you, even in the middle of a busy life.
In 'At Peace, Not In Pieces,' I invite you to explore the five-step PEACE model, which came from my own journey from feeling overwhelmed and lost to finding a deep sense of peace and feeling whole again. These five steps involve finding and living your purpose, developing an empowered mindset, taking the right actions, connecting with your true self, and elevating your life by living fully and serving others.
It's for anyone who wants to trade overwhelm for peace, to go from feeling lost to feeling truly centered and secure. If you're ready to gently move from feeling 'in pieces' to feeling 'at peace,' this book is a kind guide. It's about discovering your own inner safe space, a place where you can connect with who you really are, no matter what life brings.
It's an invitation to come back home to yourself.

Purpose - Finding our calling in life
As this is for most people a relatively easy starting point, the 5-step PEACE model begins with discovering our purpose. Everyone has something they are called to do in this life. Identifying what our passion is pulling us toward is a great place to start, as it gives us a compass for the rest of our life; toward more inner peace and happiness.
Empowerment - Adopting an empowered mindset
Once we have clarity about our purpose, we often meet ourselves; we start doubting ourselves, our skills, and our ideas. We sometimes lack the courage and confidence to make our vision a reality. We disempower ourselves with our thoughts and beliefs. So, the second step to living a life of more peace and joy is to change the beliefs that are not working for us and adopt an empowered growth mindset.
Action - Following through with right action
Once we know where we want to go and have moved away from beliefs that could hold us back, we need to take action. Right action. Because, even with a bold vision we sometimes fail to follow through. In addition to an empowered mindset, we need commitment, focus, and action for achieving our goals.
Connection - Coming home to ourselves
Step four is the most important, making all other steps automatically fall into place and even obsolete. This step is about connecting with our true nature, finding our way back to our authentic selves and our infinite nature. This requires us to go inside and explore our inner world. By becoming silent, both in body and mind, we get to know who we truly are.
Elevation - Showing up with clarity, kindness and compassion
The last step is about how we show up in the world and how to be authentic in every aspect of our lives. By committing ourselves to becoming a more kind, loving, and generous parent, son / daughter, partner, friend, and leader, we will elevate our lives and the lives of others.
From pieces to PEACE
The five steps of the PEACE model are not sequential; they overlap and tend to happen simultaneously. But life has a way of letting you know which step you are called to focus on, something you might have let slip a bit. All you need to do is listen. And be ready when it calls you. A calling to come home to yourself.
